Who we are. Nori is operated by Snowrook LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy describes how we handle information when you visit this website or join our waitlist.

What we collect.

• Waitlist signups: If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and may store the page or source you signed up from.
• Usage data: We may use Firebase Analytics and similar tools to understand how the site is used (for example, pages visited and general device/browser information). We do not use this data to sell advertising profiles.

How we use information.

• To record and manage waitlist signups and notify you about Nori when we launch or have updates you opted into.
• To operate, secure, and improve the website.
• To comply with law when required.

Where data is stored. Waitlist data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore). Analytics data may be processed by Google Firebase Analytics. These services may process data in the United States and other countries where their infrastructure operates.

How long we keep it. We keep waitlist emails until you ask us to remove them or they are no longer needed for the purpose collected. Analytics data is retained according to Firebase/Google settings.

Your choices.

• You may request access to or deletion of your waitlist email by contacting Snowrook LLC and including the email you used to sign up.
• You can limit analytics in your browser through cookie or tracking settings, though some site features may still log basic server requests.

Children. Nori is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do.

Terms of Use

Agreement. By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The site today. Nori is a pre-launch website. We provide information about beginner Japanese learning, a library of short articles, and a waitlist. The app is not yet available unless we say otherwise.

Not a school. Blog posts and other content on this site are for general information only. They are not formal language instruction, academic credit, or a substitute for a teacher. Always use your own judgment about how you study.

Waitlist. By submitting your email to the waitlist, you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years old.
• The email you provide is yours (or you are authorized to use it).
• You consent to us storing that email and contacting you about Nori.

You may ask us to remove your email at any time by contacting Snowrook LLC.

Acceptable use. You agree not to:

• Misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with its operation.
• Scrape, spam, or automate signups in a way that harms the service or other users.
• Use the site for unlawful purposes.

Intellectual property. The Nori name, branding, site design, and original content are owned by Snowrook LLC or our licensors. You may share links to our pages. You may not copy or republish substantial portions of the site for commercial use without permission.

Disclaimers. The site and content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular outcome will result from using our content or joining the waitlist.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Snowrook LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

Third-party links. The site may link to external resources. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer protection laws require otherwise.

Changes. We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
